I Love Dolly website - getting it up and running!

So... here I am... with a website. Finally! The only downside to seeing all my lovely creations in one place was the creative input it required to get the website made and looking lovely. I yearned to make jewellery during these times, as it is simply what I love doing. But encouraged by the desire to get my work into the world (along with being plied with various cups of tea by the husband), I have finally got it together. Have a browse...see what I make...maybe even buy something that takes your fancy...

I learned whilst making this website that the word jewel comes from the Old French "jouel" and beyond that, from the Latin word "jocale" meaning plaything. The Spanish word for jewellery is "joyas" which sounds an awful lot like joy.... and it got me thinking that jewellery has always been viewed a something that brings happiness. But then I saw the German word for it, which was "schmuck", and that just made me laugh.
