This ring has been handcrafted using offcuts of silver, which have been cut into strategic small and shaped pieces which are then melted into a beautiful round shape to become a ring. The silver has to be melted at just the right temperature so that it doesn't "blob" together, meaning it starts to cool at the moment tactile undulations and rocky surfaces start to form. I have a few pieces in the collection I've made in this way and the experimental nature of the work was beautifully satisfying. Each piece produced is totally unique and seems almost "alive". This ring is smooth and comfortable to wear, with a good weighty feel.
